22 Feb. 2007 (Sawf News) - Nick Cannon married Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks in Las Vegas last weekend after just three weeks of dating. The couple made a public appearance at the 6th Annual GM Ten Fashion Show.

According to an Us magazine report the pair was staying at Palms Casino Resort Hotel for NBA All-Star Weekend.

Cannon, 26, and Ebanks, 24, met at a Super Bowl weekend party in Miami (04 Feb. 07) and were inseparable since then.

Cannon had earlier dated Grammy nominated singer and actress Christina Milian, but their relationship ended, allegedly, after she discovered secret phone messages from another woman, Kelsey Becker. He briefly dated Paris Hilton's close friend Kim Kardashian but the two split this January. At one point, he was rumored to be dating Lindsay Lohan.

Cannon's publicist, Tracy Nguyen, declined to comment on the wedding.

A source told Us magazine, "The weird thing is when he and Kim Kardashian dated, he said he didn't believe in monogamy!"

Cannon and Ebanks are said to be planning a wedding reception party in L.A. this weekend.

Cannon is the producer and host of MTV's improv comedy show Wild 'N Out which debuted in 2005 and ended in Oct 2006 after completing three seasons. A new sketch comedy show created by Cannon, called Short Circitz will debut in 2007.

Ebanks, British-American supermodel, made her major debut in Victoria's Secret fashion shows and is now officially one of Victoria's Secret angels. She has also modeled for Ralph Lauren, Levi's, Abercrombie & Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger, and Clinique.

Protect our young drivers

The following letter was taken from the Caymanian Compass Thursday 8th February, 2007

Protect our young drivers

I’m just returning home after a two–week vacation off island and was reading the newspapers to get caught up with the news.

I read the Editorial in the 30 January edition of your paper, which dealt with our young drivers speeding and I must say I agree whole heartedly.

Suggestions to help deter these senseless deaths? When a youth is caught speeding, take their license away for a year or two. No questions asked, just automatically relieve them of their dearest treasure: their drivers license.

Also, why can’t Government or the private sector get behind Robert Campbell of Campbell’s Auto and help him complete the Breakers Speedway?

If the youths have a place where they can go and drive in a safe environment and also get good driving education, we’ll see a drastic change on our roads.

Make Drivers Ed a mandatory part of the school curriculum. Classes can take place on weekends at the Speedway.

Something has to be done; our young men are killing themselves off before they can take their place in society. No price is too high in order to save our precious young people....our future.
